En mi trabajo sobre mestizaje en América, investigué las cartas náuticas que posibilitaron esas idas y vueltas entre continentes. Me fijé en las rosas de los vientos y como se conectan entre sí y pinté mis mapas enfocándome en ellas. También utilicé el alfabeto náutico. Escribí el nombre de la primera mujer en volar al espacio, Valentina Tereshkova, en el Vostok 6, en 1963, y pinté varios hombres al agua.
Followed by my work on racial mixing in America, I investigated the nautical charts that made these comings and goings between continents possible. I noticed the compass roses and how they connect with each other and painted my maps focusing on them. I also used the nautical alphabet. I wrote the name of the first woman to fly into space, Valentina Tereshkova, on Vostok 6, in 1963, and painted several men in water.
